The Barbell Club recognises the gym as a place to enhance your performance by developing your strength and muscularity, increasing your power and improving your cardiovascular capacity; we achieve this through personal programming utilising science backed best practices - more specifically, progressive overload. The gradual and incremental improvements in these markers are the measures of our success.

Unfortunately, many people see the gym as an energy dump; the place where they make amends for inactivity and excessive consumption. Too many equate breathlessness and sweating to the success of a particular session.

The gym is just one factor in your overall health and well being; in order, to achieve the results you desire, The Barbell Club supports you with a nutrition plan that emphasises the importance of energy balance, food quality and moderation rather than restriction of vices. Developing your nutritional knowledge will allow you to manipulate and improve your body composition.
